presentation of the work
This work is part of the Mix for Montreal exhibition. The starting point is the poem “Montréal, our home city” written by artist and historian JEAN-FRANÇOIS LECLERC.
The artist's artistic approach is the result of all his influences since his arrival in Montreal, his studies in art and design, his original and adopted identities and his convictions. The character in this work, the woman, sometimes embodies Montreal, sometimes observes Montreal. She wants to be a motor of dialogue with the one who looks at her. It makes it possible to elicit a reaction, to capture the similarities and the emotions that resonate in each of the Montrealers.
Through this work, the artist pursues his exploration of geometric form, line and color intensity. Through her mixed technique, she gives a distinctive signature.
